Door knockin Weather

Not a bad day today.
50 Calls
10 no's
5 Hang ups
20 Not home
10 Left messages
5 Call back later
Not necessarily a good day though.
I figured I could walk and talk faster than I was getting anyone on the phone. So I hit the street about 4:30 pm. knocked 50 doors 30 cards handed out with a "thanks but not right now" or "we just paid last week call us in 6 months." Oh well, at least everyone I talked to now has my card. I'd say a bit better than simply cold calling. who knows.

Quoted two autos today from other sources. They should pan out. Tomorrow's a busy day. Big client with nice business and home needs. Interview is at noon. So we'll see how that goes.

Who knows

Being a captive agent has it's advantages but it also has some disadvantages. The immense amount of "corporate" training can sometimes be overwhelming, and in the end unproductive. Overshadowing it seems the fundamentals, which, by the by, ALWAYS work. After much consideration and reading, I have made the resolve to spend no less than two hours EVERY day, not just one "call night", telemarketing.
I really have no apprehension using the phone, and it seems to provide the best results. My goal is to filter the "corporate line" so as not to lose focus on the fundamentals of productive activity and helping people. Hopefully I can achieve some resemblance to a well rounded agent.

We'll see.
